Jacob Baker

Honor a Veteran Recognition Ceremony

Ketcham Track Coaches and Athletes attended the ceremony for former athlete Jacob Baker who was being recognized for his duty to our country. Unfortunately, Jacob lost his life in a motorcycle accident on July 21, 2023. Jacob excelled in the sprints, but more significantly in the pole vault, where he earned two trips to the State Meet, both indoor and outdoor, during his senior year (2018). Jacob was a tremendous athlete but had a greater calling to serve our country in the US Army. As a human being, he was hugely respected by both staff and students. He had great character that was an example for others to follow.
